Kutterfisch in Sassnitz

Only bought fish rolls and didn't eat there. Nice service. The herring on the bun was very good. The rolls tend to be dry. Fried fish breading and tartar sauce rather average.

Very cozy interior. There was a lot of seating and the fish assortment was just awesome. The food tasted very tasty😋. I would definitely recommend Kutterfisch. 👍

First of all ... if you are nagging here, you should go to a fast food restaurant. The three of us were really in the mood for delicious fish again, so let's go ... The relatively long queue (Corona distance rule thud) dissolved in no time, and we were served by a very nice and competent saleswoman! What do you want more !? Super extensive range, great presentation, and a saleswoman who likes her job! We will be back definitely! ADDENDUM: We came back and this time ate in the restaurant! The service (this time a different one) was again very nice and friendly and took our order very quickly. As a starter we shared a very delicious fish soup for two (to try). The pick-up butt for the main course pummeled to the point! Everything is very tasty and well presented! Conclusion: Not only the smoked fish to take away, the food in the restaurant is also highly recommended!

Super delicious food! Nice ambience and prices are perfectly fine! For me it was the best fried fish with fried potatoes I've eaten so far. Be sure to have a look when you're around.

The fish was really fresh and mostly good. I have to subtract the asterisk for two reasons - it is impossible to correct (what happened later on the plate) communication with the staff in a language other than German and the second one is an unfavorable ratio of the amount of breadcrumbs to fish meat. The queue proves the popularity of the candle, it is a guarantee of freshness, and the large gardens allow you to eat the fish almost sitting by the cutter.

Very tasty fish, large portions and good service. We have eaten here four times and always very satisfied! Will definitely be back.

Anyone who likes to eat really delicious fish in Sassnitz has found the right address here. The rush is usually large and waiting times are correspondingly long. But you should be patient, it is well invested! Delicious!

Probably not again. A self-service restaurant with restaurant prices. I would like to pay if it would have tasted good. Fish rolls without onion? And with butter? Didn't work at all. The potato salad from Grandma's Backfisch was never homemade ... it was ok, but nothing more. I ate much better in the Sassnitz harbor.

If you are looking for delicious food in a cozy atmosphere and with friendly service at reasonable prices, this is the place for you. We liked it here and it tasted really good.

As usual we ate delicious fish again. Whether it was grandma's fried fish or the pan fish, even the fish fingers were very good. That everything is in a great atmosphere and whoever wants can sit outside right at the harbor.

The selection is very varied, the fish was delicious. Unfortunately, it was not possible to reserve a seat and then spontaneously looked on site. The interior is nicely made for sitting.

The fish is delicious. I can definitely recommend plaice, back fish, saithe and pikeperch. Portions are a good size that even men will be full. Staff is friendly and you can sit there by the water.

Nice selection of smoked, fresh and frozen fish. Can especially recommend the cold smoked tuna.

We stayed several times during our vacation and I was pleasantly surprised. Self-service, because of Corona we'd have to stand up a bit, but it's relatively fast. Outside looks pretty worn out, but inside just cozy, and the food is very good and inexpensive. Great potato salad, and the fish are terrific, no matter which we ordered.

The heart laughs. If you would like to eat fish, this is the right place. Whether freshly caught or smoked, the display was fantastic. We have chosen different fish rolls for the small appetite. With freshly baked rolls ..... 😉

The food is really tasty and rich. Only the waiting time is not so nice. You should plan at least 30 minutes for this.

We went to eat twice this week. It was absolutely delicious. The potato salad and the cucumber salad are all homemade and have an excellent taste. The dishes are well presented and freshly prepared. The price / performance ratio is right. The service was also very friendly. As soon as we go on holiday again, the restaurant is the first choice. 👍🏻

Wow the fish was delicious. 👍👍👍 It was worth it. Have shopped a lot. Very nice restaurant would have liked to stay, but our bus did wait. I can only recommend it! We will be back.

Despite the high number of tourists, it is pleasant to eat here. The selection of fish rolls and fish dishes is extremely varied. The matjesbrötchen (3 € August 2020) wade so delicious that we ordered a second round. At around 7 p.m. we came back for dinner and weren't disappointed. Golden fried cod with fried potatoes, underlaid with a delicious sauce. Sensational! You can sit particularly quietly behind the building.

Really, the only place to have excellent fish in Sassnitz. The smoked fish was excellent (Butterfisch was simply delicious)! We also had the whole Scholle (XXL) and the mixed fish plate. The Scholle also had a lot of shrimps with a Bechamel sauce. The mixed fish plate had excellent cooked cabbage. The fish and the meal was one of the best (from quality, taste and price) on Rügen. Unfortunately, the restaurant gets one point less because: 1) the tables are not cleaned after each use, you have to wait long in line to order and pick up the food on your own, and if you want a second drink, you have to get back in line.

It's a very good fish restaurant ,price also not expansive

This restaurant is packed, even in the off season. Locals seem to like going there, so that's a good sign. They offer lots of fish and it's all fresh and cooked to the point. Personally, I dislike that the dishes are all fried and fatty. Also, the system gastronomy approach with buzzing devices that tell you when you have to collect your food creates a noisy, hectic atmosphere. They have a lovingly decorated interior, it's clean and fresh. The staff is far from friendly, though. It's okay but far from great.

Very good food, the fish was very very good, I will come back again. The quality is by far better than the one you would find in Hamburg or London, I guess you can call this restaurant a hidden jewel, definitely wort a trip from as far as Munich.
